Forget what though?

They have backed the manager in the last couple of windows and the squad is the best it has been in years.

I regret the stadium move but i am not sure if i can blame them for it? At the time I thought it was the right thing to do.

I will be amazed if we finish outside the top 10 this year. Relegation seems impossible in my eyes. Something I dont think I have ever been able to say.

We are definitely in a better position now as a club than when they first took over.

I was working in the Boleyn the other day as part of a proposed renovation, parked in Priory Rd opposite the abomination that has replaced OUR ground. The whole area might have been/ will be renovated but it’s not in a good way. So many memories, it’s sad really, pretty obvious what the move was all about. Bigger isn’t better in this instance.

So no, what they did is unforgivable.

dealcanvey.Sorry mate I don't agree. Our net spend this Summer is around 27 million. The squad is very light.Injury to Declan or Haller and we are in big trouble. Also (in my opinion)full backs not good enough.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
Our net spend this season was back to the usual 20 odd million mark, which considering we're meant to be in the top 20 richest clubs is fucking terrible.

We have a manager with a proven track record who needed A LOT of money to transform the squad which in parts is still lacking massively (full back areas and central midfield and even another striker).

They will never be forgiven for taking us to the fucking washing machine. Sooner they fuck off the better.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
they spent the bare minimum in the summer window, we have just one proven striker and very little to play the holding role if and when Rice gets injured. they are cunts

We could win the league and some fans would still find something to whine about on the radio.

Life's too short to get all red-faced about football finances.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
Tide, if they spent doe on the side we'd have a far greater chance of pushing into the top 6.

With the squad we have, if the first 11 stay fit it's possible. Beyond that our bench is fucking shit.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
It's beyond my control. I enjoy my football and love West Ham but I can longer be arsed to get all sweary about budgets and net spend and salary clauses and agent fees and financial fair play etc.

Nobody ever used to talk about any of this shit EVER. Instead we talked abot Devonshire's latest run or Dicks shouldering someone into the Row Z. Much more interesting than debating opaque fiscal decisions with fans who have very little true insight into anything but are convinced they know the inner workings of board rooms.

This is supposed to be fun, not finacial analysis. It's almost as if Talksport are perpetuating digruntled whingeing because it creates more radio debate than enjoying the spectacle of sport itself.

You think? nothing like stirring the pot to get those phone lines ringing, message boards raging to increase your advertising revenue

Block - I don’t think they are going anywhere anytime soon. If we think Sullivan is not fit to run a football club, imagine what it will be like under his kid.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
what very little insight are you talking about? they've moved on the top three earners out of the club yet we're still short of depth in key areas

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
We talk about depth, but if we look at our first team.

Haller, fornals, lanzzini, andersen.

I’m happy as a West Ham supporter.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday

Adrian Durham is brilliant at it. He just picks a random topic that arseholes find irresistable - e.g. everton is actually a much bigger club than chelsea will ever be, or VAR decisions are actually more exciting than the game itself. He then winds people up with total bollocks until they just have to phone in and tell him he's an arse hat. It's completely obvious and transparent and yet he hooks dozens of people every day who somehow think he is being genuine. I mean, he is a massive bell end, but he's very good at it.

Its rife across the station with Jim White and his co-presenter of the day unashamedly taking the polar opposite stand form each other to rattle people's cages. Its not even subtle and completely contrived. It makes for funny listening hearing some of the morons call in. The evening shows with Cundy/Goldstein has the added advantage of their audience having opened a bottle or two across the later hours and regularly get people calling up completely lagging.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
I have mixed views of them.

Pros:
- They are British, which feels quite unique in the Prem. David Gold is actually a Hammers fan and you can tell he cares.
- They technically saved us financially in a way, we were in a lot of trouble and we could of so easily become a Leeds, Villa, Portsmouth, Wednesday or Newcastle.
- They put their money where their mouth is after the end of the 2017 season, shortly after the ugly scenes after the Burnley 3-0 loss.

Cons:
- Dildos.
- Karen Brady not on the same wave length at all with our fans.
- Obviously the stadium has so many issues, although I'm warming to it, will be better next season with the seats moving forward behind the goal.
- Sullivan's son is a melt.
- Took them far to long to sign a striker who wasn't a far off punt.

Re: Talksport phone yesterday
Talksport and the Dildos are a perfect combination.

I love how our net spend is roughly about 25 million and the reduction in our wage bill is / was roughly 25 million

Fucking Sullivan should be the next david blaine with all his smoke and mirrors
